Casa Gitana

an incredibly magical place! beachfront, animal sounds, sunrises and sunsets in front of your nose. the staff is absolutely amazing, such kind souls who perfectly reflect the spirit of beautiful chacahua! it’s the place to be - 15mins walking distance from the town in the middle of nature the facilities are clean, there’s drinking water available, the rooms soo beautiful 100% recommend

We had an amazing stay at Casa Gitana. We stayed in a cabana right in front of the ocean which was a very special experience: listening to the waves at night and literally rolling out of bed for sunrise. The facilities including the pool and shared areas for chilling were all well thought out and maintained. Everyone who worked there was kind and helpful: we loved being able to eat on site, the food and coffee were very good. It was also a huge plus having access to the internet which isn’t prevalent elsewhere on the island. We would definitely stay here again

We had an amazing stay at Casa Gitana and I would highly recommend it to everyone. We had the 4 person-Rooms/beachhut which was amazing, cozy, clean (of course we brought sand in as it’s a beach hut but that’s what it’s all about…), with ocean view and ventilators. The nights got a little cool but they provided blankets. Common area like showers, toilets, yoga Terrasse and the pools get cleaned every day. The stuff is just amazing. Noelia and Martin and also all the volunteers are very warm-hearted and helpful. They make sure you feel comfortable and help you with everything they can. The location is both - amazing and a little bit annoying as it takes a 15 min walk to the village which is beautiful along the beach but if you plan to stay in the village a lot maybe an option closer to Centro would be better. I personally loved the walks

Casa Gitana is definitely one of the top three places to stay in Chacahua. The pool and cafecito are superb. Host are an outstanding couple. Attention and kindness are always present. My only concern in my room was my choice for price where the room is located over the power generator. This shouldn’t be placed there as the motor was very uncomfortable while sleeping on top of it. Easy, jungle like, free spirit ambient with great internet.

We loved our stay at Casa Gitana. The managers are super nice and helpful, and amazing cooks ! (Please try their agua jamaica & empanadas!) Location is ideal, and swimming pool + upper deck are perfectly windy for a refreshing break. We also loved the yoga deck and the beachfront sunbeds. prices are on the higher side for the size of the rooms, but it is overall very worth it. I would recommend !!

Our stay at Casa Gitana was a perfect way to kick off the new year. Their staff were chill, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the cabana out front on the beach, with a sweet view of the ocean to wake up to. The food was delicious, which we consumed up on the rooftop, poolside with an amazing view of the beach and ocean. Truly a magical place. We will definitely be returning.

This place is located in the most beautiful spot right on the beach front - a peaceful retreat. The food at the main hub is fresh and delicious and readily available which is good considering it is about a 20min walk to the main village. The amenities were basic but decent. The pool was an added luxury! 10/10 recommendation this place if you want a seriously peaceful getaway.

We stayed at Hotel Gitana for a week and absolutely loved it. The staff were wonderful — relaxed, friendly, and always professional. The rooms were fantastic; after spending so much time without air-conditioning, it felt like such a luxury to finally relax in cool comfort. The location couldn’t be better — it truly feels like paradise. We’d definitely recommend Hotel Gitana to friends and family looking for a peaceful and welcoming getaway.
